JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the development and supervision of a team of Service Technicians including, annual performance appraisals. It is anticipated that this position will be ~40% supervision, while performing actual service work for the balance of the time. Team Supervisors are able to design and engineer control system hardware and software programming based on project requirements and provide analysis of building control and HVAC system performance at a complete systems and campus level.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide motivation, leadership, and vision for team members (Service Field Technicians)
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for Team Members
  • Provide technical support for team members
  • Training – Coordinate classroom with Service Field Operations Manager and provide one-on-one Engineering task Levels training
  • Maintain Service Technician productivity
  • Conduct Team Meetings
  • Perform regular Service Technician functions as required
  • Implement and lead the Vision, Values, and Strategies of ATS
  • Provide leadership in the recruiting and retention of Service personnel.
  • Overall labor planning for group
  • Conduct performance appraisals and quarterly goal review with direct reports.
  • Supervise mentoring process and training & development plans with direct reports.

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC DDC Control Theory & Applications

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position requires a combination of working in an office environment and routine visits to project jobsites up to 50% of working hours. Project jobsites present typical construction and outdoor conditions that require the use of personal protective equipment for safety purposes. Lifting and exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds more frequently is required. Must be comfortable climbing a ladder infrequently.

POSITION TYPE AND HOURS

  • Full-time, exempt
  • Typical Monday – Friday working hours with flexibility as needed
  • On-Call ~6 times per calendar year

CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Tridium Niagara N4 training and experience
  • Alerton training and experience
  • Delta training and experience
  • Commercial HVAC controls systems experience
  • Engineering Undergraduate degree
  • 3+ Years of industry experience
